07/14/2010 - Carson, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Chivas USA signed Mexican midfielder Rodolfo Espinoza, a veteran of the Mexican First Division, the Major League Soccer club announced on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Espinoza will be eligible to make his debut for the Goats on Thursday against Puebla FC in the team's opening match of SuperLiga 2010, pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.
"Rodolfo is a dynamic player who gives us another look in the midfield," Chivas USA coach Martin Vasquez said. "He's a proven midfielder and can help us continue to strengthen our attack. We're excited for him to get started."
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to play in MLS," Espinoza said. "I know that Chivas USA has high expectations and I am very excited to achieve great things with this club. It is a great group in the locker room and I'm looking to adapt very quickly."
Per league and team rules, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
